How the Animals Stole Back Fire

Thunder has stolen fire from the animals. Now deer, fox, wolf, bear, raccoon and the others freeze each winter, while Thunder, who lives across the mountains with his three scary daughters, enjoys its warmth. Deer, Fox and Mouse are sent on the dangerous journey to steal back fire from jealous Thunder. But his three daughters guard it as he sleeps. How does Mouse put them to sleep?

This fire myth from the Maidu Native Americans of the Northwest Coast is told with character voices and vocal effects for thunder and wind.  Odds Bodkin adds music on alto recorder to drive the action.
