Rapunzel’s Window/A Symphonic Song

In the old fairytale, Rapunzel is locked away by an old witch in a tower with no door, only a high window. This symphonic song imagines her loneliness and longing as she grows into a young woman.

Composed and performed by Odds Bodkin on Kurzweil synthesizer, Rapunzel’s Window layers bass and numerous strings beneath air flute, woodwinds and harp to evoke the far-off feelings of a youthful soul waiting for life to happen.
