Chanuka’s Most Generous Man

Aben Juden is wealthy and always generous, especially at Chanukah when the three rabbis appear for donations to the poor. He’s always at the top of the list in their subscription book. But when a bad year strikes and he loses his home and servants, to his chagrin they appear at his impoverished hut anyway. He has two pennies to his name. What does he do?

Odds Bodkin tells this warm Jewish folk tale with its surprise ending for the Holidays. Rabbis Joshua, Eliezer and Akiba (Akiva) are famed rabbis from long ago. The tale is performed with character voices, narration and music on the harp.
