Odds Bodkin’s THE ILIAD: BOOK I for Honors and Classics Students at Loyola University Maryland

Invited for the 9th year by Martha Taylor, Chair of Classics, Odds Bodkin returns to Loyola University Maryland to perform THE ILIAD: BOOK I for Classics and Honors students and faculty. The 1-hour performance, accompanied with a score on 12-string guitar, explains the origins of the Trojan War in Bronze Age times and then recounts the fateful argument between Achilles and Agamemnon. Character voices include Kalkhas the Diviner, Kryses the Priest, Achilles, Agamemnon, Odysseus, Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite, Athena, Paris and others. The performance is held at the Student Union Building.
