THE ILIAD: BOOK I at Groton School

Odds Bodkin visits Groton School in Groton, MA to perform THE ILIAD: BOOK I for high school students. The tale, accompanied with themes on 12-string guitar, encompasses the Judgement of Paris as lead-in mythic material to Book I of Homer’s Greek mythology classic. The tale includes character voices for Achilles, Agamemnon, Khryses the Priest, Khalkas the Diviner, Odysseus and others. Also included are voices for Athena, Hera, Aphrodite, Zeus, Hephaestus and Paris Alexandros. Mr. Bodkin offers an introduction accompanied with Celtic harp that explores Bronze Age life and spirituality in an age before the printing press.
